2018 GERS Meeting

Registration is now open for the 2018 meeting of the Gulf Estuarine Research Society, to be held in Galveston, TX, 8–10 Nov.! Early bird registration fees are $75 for student members, $100 for non-student members, with an additional $25 fee for non-members. Early-bird registration ends on Oct. 12, after which time fees will increase.

Additionally, travel awards will be offered to students (graduate and undergraduate) to help defray the costs associated with travel and participation in the GERS meeting. The application deadline for student travel awards is September 28, 2018. To be eligible for a student travel award, you must (1) be a current 2018 GERS member, (2) be a current graduate or undergraduate student, and (3) submit an abstract to the 2018 meeting. To apply, please submit the following documents to [email protected]: (1) A picture of you doing your research for use in publicity, (2) A copy of your submitted abstract, and (3) A short letter from your advisor confirming student status and funding need. All documents should be submitted in a single PDF file, with your first and last name in the file name (e.g., ZackDarnell.pdf).
